Congenital Defects Surgeries

Unlike cosmetic surgery which is optional for most people, when a person is born with a congenital anomaly (defect), surgery is no longer optional, it is compulsory. Usually the parents of the child born with the defect are those who decide to have the surgery done for their child. Two main reasons for that would be: to make sure the defect is corrected and all their child's body functions are perfect and - not any less importantly - to prevent their child from facing any ridicule from the society. Correcting congenital defects requires both the skill of a general surgeon and the artistic eye of the plastic surgeon that is why Dr. Metwally successfully performs these kinds of surgeries.

Dr. Metwally performs corrective surgeries for the following common congenital anomalies along with other special individual defects.

1. Bat Ears
2. Cleft Lip
3. Cleft Palate
4. Hypospedius
5. Pilonidal Sinus
6. Polydactyly
7. Syndactyly
